Creativity Works! is a leading European coalition of the cultural and creative sectors. Our coalition represents writers, screenwriters, video game producers & developers, broadcasters, book publishers and retailers, cinema operators, sports organisers, picture agencies, music and film/TV producers, publishers and distributors.

Today, the European Parliament adopted the so-called Platform-to-Business Regulation. This Regulation will bring more trust and predictability in the relationships that businesses have with online intermediation services and online search engines when they use these services to reach end customers.

We see this as a step forward in promoting fair digital business practices and ensuring a balanced relationship between online intermediation services / search engines and business users. We encourage the European Union institutions to continue their work on this issue in the short-term future and in this light welcome the setting-up of an Observatory on the Online Platform Economy.
